We are seeking a skilled ESG Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Societe Generale Assurances in Bangalore, India.
Estimated Salary: ₹9,000,000 per annum (including bonuses and benefits).
About the RoleThe successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert on sustainability topics, reviewing and analyzing companies on their Environmental & Social (E&S) performance and maturity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing detailed E&S risk analysis and maturity assessment on clients according to bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Preparing insightful analytical reports based on proprietary methodology and effectively conveying the analysis.
- Comprehending and clearly communicating a client's business model and significant activities that may potentially bear different natures of E&S risks to the bank.
- SUPPORTING SOCGEN'S BUSINESS ENTITIES TO ASSESS AND ANALYZE CLIENTS AND TRANSACTIONS FROM AN E&S PERSPECTIVE.
- Building expertise and further developing E&S methodologies and operating frameworks.
- Developing and deepening understanding of sustainability topics.
- Engaging in enhancing team productivity.
- Actively sharing knowledge, research findings, and research insights to build team capabilities.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Total experience of around 8-12 years in investment research, risk analysis, or sustainable financing.
- Relevant experience of around 3-5 years in sustainable finance, ESG research, ESG integration, environmental policy, environmental impact analysis, product life cycle assessments.
- A postgraduate management degree in Finance, Environmental Sciences, or Sustainability related discipline.
