Future Studies Center Director

The Woxsen University is seeking a visionary leader to establish and direct its Future Studies Center. As the Chair in Innovation & Foresight Studies, you will drive our efforts in future studies, scenario planning, and global foresight.

This prestigious role will enable Woxsen to shape strategies for emerging global challenges and position itself as a thought-leader in the field of innovation and foresight.

About This Opportunity:
  • We are looking for an accomplished scholar with a proven track record of driving strategic change through futures thinking and scenario planning.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop and deliver courses in futures thinking, policy foresight, and scenario planning.
  • Our ideal candidate will have strong global networks and experience working with governments, think tanks, and corporations on strategic foresight projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the Woxsen Future Studies Center: Develop a strategic vision and lead the development of the center.
  • Conduct Annual Foresight Reports: Publish comprehensive reports on global trends in technology, geopolitics, and sustainability.
  • Teach Graduate-Level Courses: Develop and deliver courses in futures thinking, policy foresight, and scenario planning.
  • Collaborate with Global Partners: Work with governments, think tanks, and corporations on strategic foresight projects.
  • Mentor Research Fellows: Guide doctoral students and research fellows in foresight studies.
  • Represent Woxsen Internationally: Represent the university at international forums on foresight and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Relevant Field: Hold a doctorate in Futures Studies, Innovation Policy, Strategic Management, or a related field.
  • Internationally Recognized Scholar: Be an internationally recognized scholar with a distinguished publication record.
  • Proven Experience: Have proven experience in policy advisory, foresight consulting, or global think tanks.
  • Strong Global Networks: Possess strong global academic and industry networks.
