Job Description

We are seeking an experienced hardware engineer to lead the design of our Battery Management System (BMS) boards. The successful candidate will have expertise in high-voltage, high-current PCB design and will be responsible for ensuring that our designs meet automotive-grade safety, reliability, and certification standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop the architecture, schematic design, and PCB development of BMS boards.
  • Design circuits for power electronics, contactor control, isolation, and protection.
  • Collaborate with embedded/software teams for hardware-software co-design.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, AIS-038, AIS-156, IEC standards, and BIS certifications.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in hardware design, with at least 3+ years in BMS/EV/automotive electronics.
  • Hands-on expertise with Altium Designer and OrCAD (Cadence Allegro).
  • Experience with high-voltage, high-current PCB design, isolation techniques, and thermal management.
  • Familiarity with cell monitoring ICs (NXP MC3377x, TI, ADI, etc.).
  • Proven track record of designing multi-layer PCBs (6-12 layers).
  • Familiarity with DFMEA, safety requirements, and regulatory testing (AIS, IEC, ISO).
Preferred Qualifications

It would be beneficial if you also had:

  • Expertise with signal integrity analysis, SPICE simulations, SiC/GaN power devices, or cybersecurity for BMS.
