Water Treatment Engineer Role

Pioneering cleantech solutions for decentralized, technology-driven sewage treatment plants require experts in process engineering, civil-structural design, and IoT integration for sustainable wastewater management.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Process & Hydraulic Design:
  • • Develop detailed flow diagrams and piping instrumentation diagrams for packaged and modular STPs.
  • • Perform mass-balance and hydraulic calculations to size tanks, clarifiers, and filters.
  • Civil & Structural Engineering:
  • • Prepare civil layout plans and structural drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and STAAD.Pro.
  • • Specify materials and ensure compliance with Indian Standards (IS codes) and local building regulations.
  • 3D Modeling & Drafting:
  • • Create 3D models for clash detection between process piping and electrical conduits.
  • • Generate bill of quantities and material take-offs for civil scopes.
  • Coordination & Review:
  • • Liaise with mechanical and electrical teams to finalize interfaces.
  • • Review vendor drawings for clarifiers, blowers, pumps, and mixers.
  • Site Support & Commissioning:
  • • Conduct site visits to verify foundation layouts and adherence to design specs.
  • • Support commissioning by validating parameters against design benchmarks.
  • Documentation:
  • • Compile design reports and calculation sheets.
  • • Maintain as-built drawings.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with strong structural design exposure.
  • 4–6 years in STP/ETP design experience.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and STAAD.Pro.
  • Familiarity with process-engineering software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of RCC design principles and IS codes.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent coordination and attention to detail.
  • Mobility: Willingness for occasional site visits (up to 30% travel).
