Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional with 12+ years of experience to lead our team in designing, building, and maintaining internal platforms and tools that enable software development teams to work efficiently and effectively.

As a senior systems engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, resilient, and efficient platforms that support our organization's strategic goals and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee implementation of Windows Server solutions, including Configuration Manager (SCCM), Group Policy, and CIS-based security hardening.
  • Define and enforce best practices for patch management, server software deployment, and disk space remediation.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with CIS benchmarks and internal security standards.
  • Monitor system health and performance, proactively addressing risks and inefficiencies.
  • Drive automation and process improvements to reduce toil and increase reliability.
  • Contribute to infrastructure roadmap planning and capacity forecasting.
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Windows Server engineering, including SCCM, Active Directory, and GPO.
  • Proficient in Ansible automation, especially in writing playbooks and roles for patching, reporting, and orchestration.
  • Solid understanding of the vulnerability management lifecycle and remediation planning.
  • Experience in administering Group Policy and Active Directory for server management, access control, and compliance enforcement.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Powershell, YAML) for automation tasks and system integration.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and AMI baking/image lifecycle management.
  • Strong problem-solving, change management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
  • Advanced knowledge in AWS and Azure Infrastructure.
  • Advanced knowledge in scripting like Python.
  • Advanced knowledge in IaC tools Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Advanced knowledge in designing and implementing CI/CD pipeline with tools like Jenkins, CodePipeline, or similar.
  • Good knowledge of version control tools like GIT, Bitbucket, or Team Foundation Server.
  • Adept in System & IT operation – Windows and Linux OS administration.
  • Understanding of networking principles and technologies (DNS, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies), Microsoft Active Directory, and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS).
