Job Opportunity: Senior Data Engineer

As a senior data engineer, you will lead a team of data engineers in designing and implementing architectures that meet the needs of our clients and colleagues.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to set up a centralized data lake on cloud infrastructure, implement a standardized data model, and create a unified view of customer interactions.

Pipelines will be built to collect and integrate data from various sources, including social media and public data platforms. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, maintain quality standards, and maximize value without compromising resources.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark or Hive query language
  • Developing streaming data pipelines using Apache Spark Structured Streaming or Apache Flink on Kafka & Delta Lake
  • Working with multiple data sources, including relational databases (SQL Server / Oracle / DB2 / Netezza), NoSQL/document databases, flat files
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Bamboo, and Azure Dev-ops

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience with cloud infra providers (Azure/AWS)
  • Strong understanding of big data ETL processing tools, data modelling, and data mapping
  • Basic scripting knowledge (shell / bash)
  • Knowledge of Hadoop file formats (Avro / Parquet / ORC) and Hive
