Job Title: Environmental Officer

We are seeking an experienced professional to assume a key role in our organization's environmental management initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

• Coordinate with statutory authorities to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
• Manage water and waste water management systems, air pollution control management, solid waste management, and hazardous waste management
• Implement legal compliances and coordinate with consultants, equipment suppliers, and training providers
• Prepare and submit all legal requirements to the relevant authorities
• Ensure effective operation of ETP/STP to meet consent criteria for effluent discharge
• Monitor and maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring proper segregation, storage, disposal, and recycling of solid and hazardous waste
• Provide training and awareness programs to employees on environmental management practices
• Meet legal requirements for monthly/yearly returns related to the environment management system
• Maintain and update legal registers and conduct periodical reviews with the team to ensure timely compliance with applicable rules and regulations
• Facilitate environment clearance processes, including Environmental Impact Assessment studies, Public Hearing processes, and compliance with Environment Clearance conditions
• Obtain necessary consents, licenses, and permissions from regulatory authorities

Key Responsibilities:

2. Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
3. Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with regulatory bodies, consultants, and other stakeholders
4. Documentation: Prepare and submit required documents to regulatory authorities
5. Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs to employees on environmental management practices
