Product Category Manager

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of the fashion industry and experience in managing product categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own profitability at the category level by analyzing sales data, inventory levels, and market trends.
  • Plan pricing, discounts, and margins aligned with business growth targets.
  • Identify growth levers and monitor revenue performance to drive business expansion.

Inventory Management:

  • Forecast demand based on historical data, seasonality, and consumer trends.
  • Ensure healthy inventory levels to minimize stock-outs and dead stock.
  • Partner with suppliers to optimize replenishment cycles and reduce costs.

Assortment Strategy & Sales Planning:

  • Develop collections that align with customer demand and brand identity.
  • Plan product mix across price points, characters, and collections to maximize conversions and sell-through.
  • Track SKU-level performance to inform future product development and sales strategies.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of product launches and visibility initiatives.
  • Share insights and reports with stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in category management, buying, or merchandising (fashion/D2C preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • A keen eye for product, pricing, and consumer trends in apparel.
  • Ability to manage fast-paced timelines and multiple stakeholders.
  • Marketplace experience (Amazon, Myntra, etc.) is a plus.
