Job Overview:

Tech Lead Role for a Scalable Platform

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design and implementation of a scalable platform that can handle high concurrency use cases. The ideal candidate will have strong architectural expertise in AWS and experience in designing multi-tenant architectures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and document the current platform architecture, identifying bottlenecks and producing a formal Architecture Gap Report.
  • Translate product epics into modular service contracts, data flow diagrams, and scalable system components.
  • Decide and implement optimal architectural patterns (monolith vs. microservices, REST vs. event-driven, DB index vs. cache).
  • Drive scalable multi-tenant architecture for user/workspace models and complex permission systems.
Platform Standards & DevOps:
  • Define and enforce platform-wide standards, including naming conventions, code formatting rules, ADRs, and review checklists.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to design high-availability infrastructure and auto-scaling environments on AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudFront, Cognito).
  • Own CI/CD pipelines and schema migration strategies with an emphasis on zero-downtime deployments and one-click rollbacks.
  • Monitor infrastructure spend and optimize for performance and cost; guide usage of serverless functions, queues, and caching layers.
Observability & Performance:
  • Lead the implementation of observability practices using Datadog, New Relic, Sentry, or OpenTelemetry.
