Database Administrator

The role involves overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of database systems to ensure high performance, availability, and security.

Responsibilities:
  • Configure and manage Oracle databases for optimal performance and security.
  • Perform routine tasks including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal operation.
  • Manage database security, user access, and implement auditing measures in compliance with policies.
  • Configure and maintain high-availability solutions such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues to minimize downtime and data integrity risks.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.

Required Skills:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Oracle Database administration.
  • Strong experience with Oracle database backup and recovery using RMAN.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for scripting and database management.
  • Experience with database security best practices and implementation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
  • Knowledge of cloud database services.
