High Performance Reliability Lead

As a High Performance Reliability Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless delivery of our critical user service journeys. You will lead teams of support analysts and work closely with Development, Operations, and Business Teams to drive process improvements.

You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance application and infrastructure resiliency through self-healing and automated failovers. This includes driving conversation around development velocity using SLIs/SLOs data and optimizing development velocity vs. service reliability.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading initiatives and discussions, as well as coordination of many dependencies in complex circumstances. They will also have a good understanding of Technology GRC and controls in all disciplines and technology domains.

The successful candidate will design scalable and robust application architecture, class structures, and flows independently and on-time delivery without compromise on quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy:
  • Enhance application and infrastructure resiliency of service through self-healing and automated failovers, target a 99.9% uptime to customers.
  • Availability/Reliability:
  • Take responsibility for meeting SLA/XLA expectations around operability and reliability of critical user service journeys.
  • Latency & Performance:
  • Drive conversation around development velocity using SLIs/SLOs data, ensure development velocity vs. service reliability is optimized.
  • Business:
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate all manual and repeatable activities via tooling and automation, reduce repeat incidents by permanently fixing root causes.
  • Processes:
  • Champion continuous delivery best practice standards, partner with development teams to ensure applications are designed with scale, resilience, and performance in mind.
  • People & Talent:
  • Collaborate with global teams in production engineering, development, infrastructure, and regional team leads.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify key issues, put in place appropriate controls and measures to assess, monitor, control, and mitigate risks.
  • Governance:
  • Assess effectiveness of governance, oversight, and controls, oversee changes if necessary.
  • Regulatory & Business Conduct:
  • Display exemplary conduct, live by Group Values and Code of Conduct, take personal responsibility for embedding highest standards of ethics.

The job requires a bachelor's degree or master's in computer science or information technology, ITIL, DEVOPS, SRE training, and proficiency in Python, BASH, UNIX/Linux, AIX, Prometheus, ITRS Geneos, ELK, Grafana, Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, Solace, Ansible, Control-M, Database and SQL, Web Application Servers (Jboss, Apache), Java, Spring Boot.
