Senior Business Consultant Job Description

The Role:

  • You will contribute to the success of our projects by providing software and industry expertise as a senior business consultant.
  • This role involves participating in a team dedicated to delivering high-quality implementation services to clients worldwide.
  • We have multiple openings for this position in our Bangalore, Noida, and Pune offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on industry and functional advice, troubleshooting, and best practices during the discovery workshop, design, implementation, testing, and production support phases.
  • Present product solutions to client users and stakeholders.
  • Support technical consultants by offering business and functional expertise, reviewing, testing, and validating scripted solutions (reports, plugins, and interfaces) as directed by the Product Manager.
  • Determine client business requirements and work processes to be addressed by one or more areas of the product solution through consultation with client users.
  • Showcase deep knowledge in one or more areas of product configuration and energy commodities.
  • Guide business consultants in one or more functional areas of the product solution.
  • Assist in adhering to professional services best practices as directed by the Line Manager.
  • Take on project implementation duties in all phases of product implementation, reporting to the Project Manager.
  • Gather and document business requirements, configuration designs, test plans/results, and other deliverables required by the project as determined by the Project Manager and Lead Business Consultant.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Line Manager and Project Manager(s) regarding assigned responsibilities.
  • Adhere to implementation best practices in one or more functional areas of the ION solution in all functional design, specifications, custom coding, unit testing, and other deliverables.
  • Follow ION documentation standards and resolution process flow for all deliverables.
  • Mainly responsible for maintaining full chargeability on assigned client accounts.

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting product installations in client environments is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering, economics, or a related IT field or equivalent experience in a related field is required.
  • Ability to work effectively within a project team structure and on-site at client locations is necessary.

About the Position:

  • This role requires strong knowledge of trading and risk concepts, including physical and financial instruments.
  • Familiarity with Allegro (Horizon) application implementation experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Candidates must have strong scheduling and operations knowledge in ETRM systems.
