Senior Quality Assurance Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with expertise in both manual and automation testing to join our team. The ideal candidate should have deep experience in building scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Automation Framework Development
    • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) principles.
  • Perform thorough manual and automated testing to ensure product quality across web, API, and integration layers.
  • Write clear and concise feature files with business-oriented scenarios and maintain reusable step definitions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure test coverage.
  • Implement and maintain Page Object Model (POM) for efficient and maintainable automation.
  • Build and extend core framework utilities such as wrappers, waits, retry mechanisms, and driver handling functionalities.
  • Ensure adherence to clean code practices in test automation frameworks (SOLID principles, OOP concepts).
  • Identify, document, and track defects, providing detailed root cause analysis.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to overall process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Core QA Automation Skills:
    • Selenium WebDriver:
      • Deep knowledge of WebDriver APIs, custom waits, element handling, synchronization issues, stale elements, and workarounds.
    • BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin):
      • Writing business-readable feature files.
      • Mapping steps correctly to ensure reusability and modularity.
    • Java (or framework language):
      • Strong OOP concepts (inheritance, abstraction, polymorphism).
      • Clean code practices with SOLID principles.
      • Exception handling and custom exception creation.
  • Framework & Layer-Specific Skills:
    • Step Definitions:
      • Designing high-level steps without mixing UI locator logic. Ensuring modularity and reusability.
    • Object Model (POM):
      • Strong understanding of POM & Page Factory. Writing maintainable locators and encapsulating UI interactions.
      • Handling dynamic elements and reusable components.
    • Framework (Wrappers, Waiters, Driver handling):
      • Building wrapper methods around Selenium APIs. Implementing custom waits, retry mechanisms, and driver utilities.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Hands-on experience with manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, UAT).
    • Experience in API testing using Postman/RestAssured.
    • Strong understanding of test planning, test design, and defect management.
    • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
