Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Firewall Security Architect to design and implement robust firewall architectures, utilizing Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama. This role involves administering and supporting enterprise firewall systems, policy tuning, threat mitigation, and IDS/IPS signature updates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Firewall Architectures: Utilize Palo Alto Networks firewalls (physical and virtual) to create secure and scalable firewall architectures.
  • Administer Enterprise Firewall Systems: Provide support for enterprise firewall systems, including policy tuning, threat mitigation, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead Deployment and Configuration: Oversee the deployment and configuration of PAN VM-Series firewalls using Flex licensing models.
  • Manage Security Updates: Manage IDS/IPS signature updates, URL filtering, VPN services, and DNS security.
  • Conduct Audits and Generate Reports: Conduct firewall rule audits and generate compliance reports.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and remediate security gaps.
  • Documentation and Support: Document architecture, deployment plans, and operational procedures, providing operational support and troubleshooting for firewall-related issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Network Security Experience: 5–10 years of experience in network security and firewall management.
  • Palo Alto Networks Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama.
  • Multi-Cloud Environments: Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security frameworks.
  • Security Knowledge: Knowledge of DNS security, bot protection, and endpoint detection systems.
  • Aviatrix Transit Network: Familiarity with Aviatrix Transit Network and cloud routing strategies is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., PCNSA, PCNSE) are preferred.
