Java Production Support Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Production Support Engineer to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our production systems.

  • Use technical and analytical skills to solve critical customer/field technical escalations from support, professional services, sales, and pre-sales teams.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop solutions for customer-reported problems.
  • Participate in daily meetings to update the development team about ongoing escalation statuses.
  • Own highly technical customer escalations with clear expectations and timelines.
  • Build tools and techniques to help with root cause analysis using available data and code base.
  • Reduce time to resolve product issues by fixing them after RCA.
  • Provide timely updates to issue reporting teams to improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Work with product management to identify and implement backlog requirements that add value to the product.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical product support roles, preferably in escalations teams.
  • Experience working as a level 3 escalation engineer handling complex customer issues.
  • Software development experience using Java technologies.
  • A good understanding and working experience of MySQL/MariaDB/RDBMS and database concepts.
  • A good understanding and working experience of microservice architecture environments on AWS.
  • Experience troubleshooting and helping with root cause analysis for customer/support/field reported issues.
  • Possession of passion, curiosity, integrity, and outstanding attention to detail while performing tasks.
  • Displaying high attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of scripting, Splunk, network troubleshooting, REST API troubleshooting, and querying databases.
