Senior Manufacturing Operations Director

This leadership role oversees the strategic planning and execution of manufacturing operations to drive operational excellence, process optimization, product quality, and innovation.

The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers and designers to deliver business objectives, foster a culture of innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Planning
    • Develop and execute comprehensive manufacturing strategies aligned with corporate objectives and long-term growth plans.
    • Oversee facility planning, capacity expansion, and advanced technology adoption to enhance competitiveness.
    • Identify emerging manufacturing technologies and integrate them into existing processes.
    • Manage manufacturing budgets to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency.
  • Operational Excellence & Process Optimization
    • Champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
    • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
    • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts to maximize productivity and quality.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of manufacturing and design engineers.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Partner with HR to recruit, train, and develop engineering talent.
  • Quality Assurance & Control
    • Establish and maintain robust quality systems to meet stringent product specifications.
    • Collaborate with Quality Control teams to address manufacturing challenges.
    • Define and track KPIs for production efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Project Management
    • Lead complex manufacturing engineering projects from concept to delivery.
    • Coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
    • Work closely with design, operations, supply chain, R&D, and quality teams to ensure seamless product development and manufacturing integration.
    • Communicate technical concepts to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving & Troubleshooting
    • Provide expert technical guidance to resolve complex manufacturing issues.
    • Identify and address root causes of defects or inefficiencies.
