The Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business success by developing and implementing effective procurement strategies aligned with the company's production needs and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic procurement plans that optimize costs, quality, and delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising product quality or service levels.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics to inform data-driven decisions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast raw material and ingredient requirements.
  • Optimize inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Manage inventory turnover to minimize waste and storage costs.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet quality, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Address and resolve quality-related issues with suppliers promptly.
  • Monitor procurement budgets and track spending to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Analyze procurement costs and identify areas for cost optimization.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on procurement performance and expenditures.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain, including price volatility, supplier reliability, and logistical challenges.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Ensure supplier contracts include necessary clauses for risk protection.
  • Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality assurance teams to align procurement with operational needs.
  • Communicate supply chain delays or issues to relevant stakeholders promptly.
  • Support the introduction of new products by sourcing required raw materials or packaging.
  • Utilize procurement and inventory management software to streamline operations.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve procurement efficiency.
  • Track and report key procurement metrics to senior management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and cost optimization.
