Job Title: Claims Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and skilled claims specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, coding, and assigning claims to appropriate diaries, acting as a point of contact for field operations regarding claim investigations, and investigating claim details, collecting evidence, and examining the facts of each case.
Key Responsibilities- Review, code, and assign claims to suitable documentation systems.
- Serve as a liaison between field operations and claim investigation teams.
- Analyze claim information, gather supporting evidence, and scrutinize case particulars.
- Determine and set reserves on claims within delegated authority limits.
- Cultivate relationships with claimants, witnesses, law enforcement, and medical professionals throughout the investigation and settlement process.
- Negotiate and settle claims, obtaining necessary approvals.
- Submit claims to Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), including litigated claims, along with required supporting documents.
- Identify and report field-related trends or safety concerns to supervisors or Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) personnel.
- Produce reports or conduct analysis as assigned.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with internal teams and external partners, upholding our organization's mission, vision, values, and commitment to diversity.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in claims or insurance.
- Preferred 2 years of full-time claims adjusting experience.
- Background in investigation or technical knowledge related to claims handling is advantageous.
- Associate in Claims (AIC) certification or other relevant industry designations is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

- Treasury, Finance, and Legal teams
- HSSE team for addressing safety-related concerns
