Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced High-Frequency Trading Strategist & Code Optimization Expert to join our team at Abans Group. As a key member of our high-frequency trading desk, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing high-frequency trading strategies to capitalize on market inefficiencies and generate alpha.

Responsibilities:

  • Coding: Utilize your expertise in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java to implement trading strategies in a robust and efficient manner. Develop and maintain codebase for algorithmic trading systems, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Optimization: Continuously refine and optimize trading algorithms to enhance performance, reduce latency, and minimize trading costs. Employ statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to identify patterns and improve trading strategies.
  • Risk Management: Work closely with risk management professionals to quantify and mitigate risks associated with high-frequency trading activities. Implement risk controls and monitoring systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Be able to document the flows of the code and communicate effectively with stakeholders to explain code rationale and performance. Stay abreast of industry developments and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with the research team to conceptualize, develop, and backtest high-frequency trading strategies across various asset classes including equities, futures, options, and currencies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Preferred qualifications include an IIT background and up to 4 years of experience in developing and implementing high-frequency trading strategies in a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or financial institution. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, with experience in algorithmic trading libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, scipy) is required. Additional skills include knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP & Network topology, multi-threading, and Linux.

Key Skills:

Number crunching aptitude and passion for coding are essential. Relevant work experience in the domain is also highly valued.
