Key Responsibilities

As a skilled Senior BI Engineer, you will work on developing complex and cross-functional Business Intelligence solutions. Your duties will include participating in work stream planning and project management estimation processes, exploring data to discover patterns and trends, and troubleshooting BI tools and systems.

Your expertise in ETL methodologies, including error handling, logging, and recoverability, will be essential in building reusable components for a scalable ETL framework. Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking performance and production issues, reading and writing effective code, and establishing and following code standards.

You will also have the opportunity to work with various data manipulation languages, including Python and R, and experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB. Your ability to create dashboards using Tableau and SSRS will be valuable assets in presenting data insights to stakeholders.

In this role, you will work closely with the team to develop unit, string, and system testing, and assist in the development of UAT test plans. Your experience with MS SQL Server 2014 database technologies, including ETL best practices, will be highly beneficial in this position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience implementing ETL for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Solutions
  • 5+ years of experience in RDBMS design, development, and performance tuning
  • 2+ years of experience with ETL/ELT on AWS or other cloud environments with working experience on Redshift or Snowflake
  • 2+ years of experience using Tableau
  • Excellent troubleshooting and optimization skills, including interpreting ETL logs, performing data validation, and optimizing SSIS packages

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
  • Experience with data manipulation languages such as Python and R
