Job Description

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will build and scale a small, high-performing team.

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will own end-to-end engineering execution and lay the foundation for our product and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the engineering roadmap in alignment with business goals
  • Build and scale a lean engineering team, hiring and mentoring talent
  • Drive the design, development, and delivery of software products
  • Establish best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, observability, and architecture
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical execution
  • Make technical decisions on architecture, tools, and platform design
  • Set and track engineering KPIs for velocity, quality, and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with security standards

Success Metrics:

  • Build an initial engineering team of 5–7 engineers within 12 months
  • Deliver a minimum viable product release and set the roadmap for enterprise readiness
  • Establish secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and monitoring baselines
  • Define and document engineering best practices and architecture standards
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in team velocity and product quality
Requirements

Minimum 8 years of professional software engineering experience

At least 4+ years hands-on development

At least 2–3 years in engineering management (team building, delivery)

Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent

Experience delivering software products (cybersecurity or cloud preferred)

Strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design

Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling

Experience with APIs and GraphQL

Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
