Account Receivable Specialist

\

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Account Receivable Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing accounts receivable portfolios to ensure timely collections.

\

The specialist will be responsible for contacting customers via email/phone to follow up on overdue invoices, investigating and resolving payment discrepancies and disputes, collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues impacting collections, maintaining accurate records of collection activities and customer interactions, preparing ageing reports and providing regular updates to management, supporting month-end and quarter-end closing activities related to AR, and ensuring compliance with company policies and SOX controls.

  • Portfolio Management:
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable portfolio to ensure timely collections.
  • Contact customers via email/phone to follow up on overdue invoices.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.

  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., billing, cash application, sales) to resolve issues impacting collections.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer interactions.

  • Reporting and Compliance:
  • Prepare ageing reports and provide regular updates to management.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities related to AR.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and SOX controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in OTC collections or accounts receivable.
  • Strong understanding of the OTC process and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
