Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related fields.
  • At least 7 years of professional work experience in Software Testing – Manual & Automation and Quality Assurance practice.
  • Experience in testing web applications, database and APIs is required.
  • Strong expertise in performing different types of Functional and Non-Functional testing like System, Integration, Regression, Database, Performance, Stress, etc.
  • Experience in design and development of Test Automation Framework leveraging relevant code libraries.
  • Proficient with Selenium Webdrivers and TestNG.
  • Able to work on tasks independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient with Quality Assurance methodologies.
  • Good knowledge on rest API's is essential.
  • Experience of Database technologies like SQL server, MySQL, etc. is required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision yet integrate appropriately with the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand software requirements and develop test plans in collaboration with the Lead/Manager.
  • Prepare test scenarios, test cases and test scripts to ensure high quality results.
  • Implement Quality Assurance best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop complex test data sets for thorough testing.
  • Identify and select the test cases for automation and/or create, enhance, debug and execute automation test cases.
  • Execute tests (manual / automated [Selenium, TestNG]).
  • Develop automated test scripts using Selenium and BDD framework.
  • Suggest improvements on the automation framework.
  • Report defects and assist in their understanding working closely with the developers.
  • Track software testing metrics and analyze test results.
  • Prepare and present test reports.
  • Train and mentor junior software test engineers.
  • Collaborate and monitor the defect management process.
  • Maximize test coverage of the system to around 95% and reduce defects.
  • Improve quality and productivity of output.
  • Communicate and collaborate with product developers, direct manager and engineering peers to develop correct solutions.
  • Demonstrate ability to contribute to forward direction.
  • Implement coding standards and best practices.
  • Work in a dynamic environment maintaining high quality standards.
  • Responsible for Quality Checks and adhering to the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) / Turn Around Time (TAT).
