Evaluate the role of an IP Admin (Docketing & Paralegal) in a dynamic team

As a vital member, you will support attorneys in global patent filings and prosecution, maintain daily dockets for clients worldwide, and communicate with clients/attorneys over conference calls.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant work experience in paralegal and docketing functions, sound knowledge of patent prosecution laws in key jurisdictions, and proficiency in IP databases such as CPI and Anaqua.

This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to practice attentive listening, and proactive thinking to contribute to the company's goals and mission.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support attorneys in global patent filings and prosecution
  • Maintain daily dockets for clients worldwide
  • Communicate with clients/attorneys over conference calls
  • Prepare PTO documents, e.g., information disclosure statements, patent assignments, declarations, power of attorneys, title amendments worldwide
  • Identify and/or verify patent family members via PTO registers and commercial databases
  • Check bibliographic, assignment, and priority details from PTO registers, file histories, and assignment databases
  • Evaluate patent portfolio of a target company
  • Proofread patent documents and identify errors introduced by patent office and/or applicant
