Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing application and production support, troubleshooting issues in a live environment.

The Role: As an Application Support Specialist, you will collaborate with business users to gather, understand, and document functional and technical requirements. You will also write clear and detailed functional and technical specifications for business processes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide application and production support, troubleshooting issues in a live environment
  • Collaborate with business users to gather, understand, and document functional and technical requirements
  • Write clear and detailed functional and technical specifications for business processes
  • Design, write, and maintain scripts using SQL, PowerShell, VBScript, and command line tools
  • Develop and maintain small to medium features or utilities using C# or Java
  • Analyze database performance, write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Assist in deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning of supported applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, infrastructure, and business analysts
  • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive solution planning
  • Maintain detailed documentation of changes, support tickets, and development tasks

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in application support or development
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Knowledge of SQL, PowerShell, and command line tools
  • Experience with C# or Java programming languages
  • Understanding of database performance and optimization
