Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager plays a vital role in supporting the facility's maintenance activities.

This position oversees the complete management of engineering, electrical, and civil maintenance operations to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.

The individual will be responsible for executing preventive maintenance planning, repair estimation, vendor performance monitoring, and safety inspections.

  • Vendor performance monitoring and maintenance material management
  • Compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Observe and contribute to the continuous improvement of the HTPL/Zircon management system.
  2. Assist in developing and executing preventive maintenance job plans and schedules.
  3. Oversee maintenance activities for electrical, mechanical, and rail siding equipment.
  4. Manage spare part planning, monitoring, and technical confirmation.
  5. Follow up on major breakdowns, repairs, and external party repairs.
  6. Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  7. Create and implement preventive maintenance documents and schedules for equipment.
  8. Maintain records for diesel consumption and tire efficiency of handling equipment.
  9. Raise requisitions for electrical, mechanical, and rail siding spares.
  10. Assist in setting up an in-house maintenance team and spare parts management system.
  11. Provide regular reports on maintenance activities, fuel usage, and electrical consumption.
  12. Implement procedures to reduce waste and promote environmental sustainability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline or certifications in Maintenance Management/Facilities Management is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and rail siding equipment maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to plan and manage preventive maintenance and repair activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and complex written information.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and vendor coordination.
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations and their application to maintenance.
