Job Title: Vernacular Outreach Coordinator

We seek a skilled professional to oversee the translation of content from English to Hindi and coordinate vernacular outreach initiatives.

  • Translate written English content into accurate and meaningful Hindi for various media platforms, social media, news releases, newsletters, video scripts, billboards, leaflets, letters, demonstration materials, and other outreach materials.
  • Collaborate with freelance translators and proofreaders working in other Indian languages to ensure smooth, timely, and accurate delivery of multilingual campaign content.
  • Manage and maintain our Hindi website, including uploading content in accordance with standard operating procedures and ensuring regular updates with the latest campaign news, blogs, and resources.
  • Support content development and management of our Hindi Facebook page and other regional social media platforms.
  • Work closely with the Online and Campaigns teams to create and adapt Hindi creatives for social media use.
  • Stay informed about ongoing and upcoming campaigns to ensure consistency and accuracy across all Hindi content.
Requirements:

This role requires a strong understanding of animal rights and mission principles. Candidates must possess excellent translation skills, effective coordination skills, and a strong grasp of social media trends and engagement practices.

  • Minimum two years of practical experience in translation from English to Hindi.
  • Strong time-management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
