We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Data Warehouse QA Engineer to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of our data warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data warehouse and ETL processes, collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform data validation and data quality checks to ensure data integrity, identifying and documenting defects and issues, and working with the development team to resolve them.
  • Conduct performance testing and optimization of data warehouse systems, automating repetitive testing tasks using appropriate tools and frameworks.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and testing procedures, staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data warehousing and QA.
  • Investigate and escalate issues related to the data warehouse, working with stakeholders to resolve their queries and concerns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Some experience as a QA Engineer, preferably in a data warehouse environment, with basic understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying and manipulation, familiarity with QA tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for test automation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
