Key Academic Position

The role of Associate Dean is pivotal in managing academic, research, and extension programs at the Faculty of Physiotherapy. To excel in this position, candidates must possess extensive experience and expertise in supporting the Dean's efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Physiotherapy with a minimum of 15 years of total experience, including 5 years as Professor (Physiotherapy). A higher qualification like a Ph.D. in any discipline of Physiotherapy recognized by the UGC and published work of high standard in peer-reviewed/UFC listed journals is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will assist the Dean and Principal in the management and enhancement of academic and administrative functions within the faculty or institute. They will ensure the smooth implementation of academic programs, supervise regular academic sessions, maintain proper decorum and quality of teaching, and implement protocols prescribed by statutory bodies for examinations.

The Associate Dean will also promote research activities within the faculty, encourage faculty and students to engage in research projects, and publish their work. They will serve as a member of academic committees, such as the Board of Studies (BOS), Faculty and Academic Council (AC), and ensure that all meetings are conducted well in time and proceedings are prepared and circulated in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate should be able to establish connections with industry professionals, alumni, and academic partners for collaborative projects, internships, and research opportunities. They will work closely with the Dean and IQAC to ensure that academic programs are continuously evaluated and improved in line with institutional goals and accreditation standards.
