Job Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished Mechanical Aircraft Propulsion Systems Architect to spearhead the development of innovative propulsion systems for aircraft. This individual will be responsible for defining and managing system-level requirements, overseeing conceptual and detailed design, and ensuring configuration management throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the principal engineer for nacelle systems, overseeing conceptual and detailed design, and managing integration with the engine and aircraft.

  • Define, decompose, and manage system-level requirements for nacelles, including inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers, and exhausts.

  • Ensure configuration management throughout the product lifecycle, develop testing and validation plans, interpret and analyze test data, and conduct design trade-off studies to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost.

  • Utilize CAD modeling tools (e.g., CATIA) to develop and refine designs, and possess strong knowledge of nacelle systems, aviation regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA), and certification processes.

  • Proficiency with engineering software such as ANSYS and MATLAB/Simulink, and a bachelor's or master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in aerospace systems engineering, with a focus on nacelle design, development, and testing.
