Job Title:

Senior Sustainability Manager

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Sustainability Strategy: Support the development of a sustainability strategy, linked to Corporate Strategy as well as business strategy of the organization.
  • GHG/Energy Focus: Monitor and execute all sub-aspects around GHG/Energy related topics in alignment with senior management.
  • Global RCI/RIL Sustainability Data: Maintain and further develop environmental-sustainability data collection including respective tools across the organization.
  • Sustainability reporting: Support the preparation of sustainability reports and annual reports.
  • Sustainability communication: Translate sustainability-relevant data into content for effective communication.
  • Carbon Footprint/Life Cycle Assessments: Interpret life cycle assessment and carbon footprint studies into meaningful communication content.
  • Implement best practices for sustainability related compliance topics such as monitoring and research of sustainability obligations.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
  • University degree in technical field with a minimum of 5 years' experience in natural/environmental science, engineering or related field.
  • Experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, including setting sustainability targets.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability data management and greenhouse gas accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of global sustainability initiatives, regulations, and rating systems (e.g., EcoVadis, CDP, UN Global Compact).
  • Understanding of industrial company operations, raw materials, products, and societal contributions.
  • Business fluent spoken and written English.
  • Standard software skills (MS office).
Soft Skills:
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Chemical or environmental master's degree strongly preferred/University degree in technical field
