Sustainability Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Specialist to lead and manage sustainability consulting projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery, high-quality standards, and client satisfaction levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee project execution, ensure milestones are met, and deliver results within agreed-upon timelines.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, provide regular updates, address queries, and ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Conduct greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories in accordance with the GHG Protocol and relevant industry standards.
    • Support clients in developing ESG reports aligned to frameworks such as GRI, BRSR, CSRD, TCFD, and CDP.
    • Perform climate risk assessments and scenario analysis consistent with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
    • Collaborate with clients to develop Net Zero roadmaps and decarbonization strategies.
  • Analysis & Insights: Gather, analyze, and interpret sustainability data; provide actionable recommendations to clients.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Knowledge Building: Stay up-to-date on emerging sustainability frameworks, regulations, and best practices to bring thought leadership to client engagements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Management, or related fields.
  • At least 23 years of experience in sustainability consulting, ESG advisory, or related roles.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end projects with client-facing responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of GHG accounting, ESG frameworks, climate risk assessment, and decarbonization strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
