Regulatory Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic Surveillance team. The role involves conducting daily surveillance of trade data to detect potential breaches, performing research and investigations within defined service levels, and documenting research results.

The successful candidate will also work closely with members of the broader Surveillance team to identify, analyze, investigate, and resolve issues.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily surveillance of trade data to detect potential breaches
  • Perform research and investigations within defined service levels
  • Document research results and escalate violations and/or suspicious activity according to firm policy and regulatory requirements
  • Work with members of the broader Surveillance team to identify, analyze, investigate, and resolve issues
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in finance or economics
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets and Financial Instruments and understanding of related risks (e.g., market abuse)
  • At least two years of experience in Banking with exposure to Financial Instruments and / or Compliance
  • Fluent in spoken and written English; Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound judgement
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office
