Healthcare Engineering Leadership Opportunity

  • Technical Leadership:
    • Design and architect scalable healthcare claims processing systems
    • Lead system design reviews and technical decision-making for complex workflows
    • Evaluate system reliability, performance, and security standards meeting compliance requirements
    • Drive technical strategy for adjudication, provider networks, and member management systems
    • Collaborate with architects on integration patterns and data flow optimization
  • People Management:
    • Build, lead, and mentor a team of software engineers across product areas
    • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence
    • Recruit top talent and build diverse, inclusive teams
    • Manage team capacity, sprint planning, and delivery commitments
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Partner closely with Product, Data, and Operations teams on feature planning and delivery
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementation roadmaps
    • Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
    • Drive best practices, code quality, and delivery processes
Requirements
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with 1+ years in management
  • Strong system design experience with distributed systems, microservices, and architectures
  • Hands-on coding experience
  • Experience with real-time processing systems and high-volume transaction processing
  • Track record of successful large-scale migrations or platform modernizations
  • Proven track record of scaling teams and managing technical talent
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, databases, and modern practices
  • Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration/deployment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR)
  • Knowledge of healthcare claims workflows and adjudication processes
  • Experience with regulated industries preferred
