Firmware Engineer Job Description

As a skilled Firmware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing firmware for embedded systems using C++.

You will be responsible for creating applications based on Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), such as Zephyr, with a strong focus on C/C++ and unit testing.

In this position, you will work on data acquisition modules, board bring-up, and debugging to ensure seamless integration of hardware peripherals into software solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop firmware for embedded systems using C++.
  • Develop applications based on RTOS (e.g., Zephyr) with a strong focus on C/C++ and GTest for unit testing.
  • Work on data acquisition modules, board bring-up, and debugging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware peripherals into software solutions.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Proficiency in Git, Jira, Confluence, Python, and shell scripting.
  • Good understanding of industrial protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, REST).
  • Familiarity with communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, RS232/485, USB).
  • Experience with MQTT, HTTP, BLE, Wi-Fi, and Webserver is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working experience with Uboot, Embedded Linux, and other open-source components.
  • RTOS expertise is a plus.
