Strategic Inventory Manager

About the Role:

We seek a seasoned Strategic Inventory Manager to oversee our inventory management process. This professional will coordinate and manage the development of long-term supply plans, ensuring seamless alignment with internal and external capacities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient inventory replenishment strategies to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze sales data, market trends, and supplier capabilities to inform inventory decisions.
  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasts of demand and supply to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Lead the Order Fulfillment team in expediting timely sales by overseeing dispatch plans, vessel schedules, and cut-offs.
  • Ensure smooth communication with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers to guarantee uninterrupted supply chains.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, enhance customer satisfaction, and optimize operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including safety stock calculations and buffer stock planning.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools, such as regression analysis and time-series forecasting.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their application in inventory optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
