Job Title: Enterprise Migration Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned migration expert to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of complex migration projects across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing and implementing end-to-end migration architectures for large-scale enterprise migrations.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions with minimal downtime, meeting both technical and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Migration Planning & Design:

  • Assess existing infrastructure, applications, and workloads to create strategic migration plans.
  • Design cloud-agnostic migration architectures to align with business goals.
  • Develop migration scope, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.

Execution & Implementation:

  • Lead the migration of servers, databases, applications, and storage systems.
  • Leverage industry-standard tools such as Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, and native utilities.
  • Implement cutover strategies to minimize disruption to operations.

Tech Leadership:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for migration methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support technical teams during complex migrations.
  • Collaborate with architects to align with cloud adoption frameworks and governance policies.

Performance & Optimization:

  • Troubleshoot migration issues and optimize performance during transitions.
  • Validate data integrity, application functionality, and system performance post-migration.
  • Document lessons learned and recommend process improvements.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and share progress updates.
  • Work with security and compliance teams to meet regulatory standards.
  • Prepare detailed migration runbooks, test plans, and rollback procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in migration-focused roles.
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and migration tools.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure migration (VMware, Hyper-V, physical to cloud), application migration, and data migration (SQL, file systems).
  • Strong understanding of networking, identity, and security in migration contexts.
  • Proven track record with large-scale, enterprise-grade migration projects.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent certifications.
