Backend Development Instructor Job Description

This is a full-time role that blends hands-on backend development with instructor responsibilities. The ideal candidate will contribute technical expertise in Node.js, Express.js, databases, APIs, or the MERN stack to support academic and project-based learning.

The Backend Development Instructor will assist in designing, reviewing, and refining backend curriculum and learning materials to reflect real-world practices. They will provide technical guidance to students during labs and backend projects, helping them debug, optimize, and scale applications.

The successful candidate will work with faculty members and teams to align curriculum with industry needs. They will mentor students on backend best practices, coding standards, and industry career paths. Additionally, they will stay updated with backend technologies and bring industry insights into the classroom.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 4-10 years of professional experience as a Software Developer/Engineer with a focus on Backend Development (preferably MERN stack).
  • Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and API design.
  • Solid understanding of backend fundamentals such as RESTful APIs, authentication, server-side logic, and performance optimization.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Passion for knowledge-sharing, mentoring, and guiding students.
