Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Kanary Staffing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, deploying, and maintaining highly scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy highly scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidance and best practices.
  • Implement automation and orchestration techniques to streamline provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement security best practices and compliance standards across all cloud environments.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging AWS services, features, and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards in cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
