In collaboration with Cloud Engineering & Operations organization and related engineering leads, you will provide technical leadership to build and implement a strategy to transition global infrastructure services (on-prem and cloud) to self-service cloud delivery models.

This role helps to build a Self-Service Platform to deliver compute and storage, virtualization, backup, infrastructure as code, and automation platforms. The scope of influence also includes self-service delivery of observability, database, security tools, vulnerability management, and CI/CD.

You will partner with peer organizations such as cloud operations, SRE, private cloud delivery, developer platform, and data strategy to deliver an easy-to-use, secure, self-service approach of cloud engineering and operations to our business and regional partners.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Work with teams in an agile environment to design, develop, and test Self-Service hybrid Cloud infrastructure delivery platforms using modern cloud delivery practices.
  2. Collaborate with software engineers and architects to design and implement secure hybrid cloud infrastructure for multiple Experian application environments.
  3. Partner with business teams to define technical requirements for modernization of legacy applications and systems and conversion to infrastructure as code deployment models (CICD Pipelines, Terraform, Ansible).
  4. Collaborate with the rest of Experian IT Services and Global Security Office teams to ensure corporate policies and security requirements are implemented and followed for all cloud services.
  5. Serve as the most senior technical expert on cloud-deployed products and infrastructure within the corporate Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure and conversion from legacy traditional infrastructure architecture.
  6. Ability to perform infrastructure discovery and assessments working with the Architecture team.
  7. Plan and execute data-center consolidations, relocations, and migrations to public cloud.
  8. Design, develop, and deploy containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes).
  9. Create and maintain scalable cloud-native architecture, deployable on all major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Experian Internal Private Cloud Solution (GreenLake).
  10. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  11. Mentor and set the example for team members to foster a mindset of continuous improvement, professional development, and organizational engagement.
  12. Perform software engineering activities, including addition of innovative functionalities to the Self-Service Platforms product suite, including security standards, troubleshooting, regular maintenance, root cause analysis, issue resolutions, continual improvement of engineering best practices.
  13. Provide technical expertise and input into our overall cloud architecture, planning, and designs according to best practices.
  14. Collaborate with Product Owners on requirement definitions, process, and workflow.
  15. Propose and prototype new "forward-thinking" solutions to aimed to improve overall cloud experience.
