Destination Experience Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • We seek a highly skilled and experienced Destination Experience Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for designing and delivering exceptional travel experiences for our customers.
  • Providing information on destinations, modes of transport, accommodation, insurance, and other travel services to customers is an essential part of this role.
  • You will create, cost, and sell tour packages (FIT/GIT) including flights, hotels, visas, sightseeing, and transfers, ensuring that all arrangements meet customer expectations and company standards.
  • Handling inquiries via phone, email, and walk-ins professionally and promptly is crucial in this role.
  • Collaborating with vendors and suppliers for bookings and ensuring timely confirmations is also a critical aspect of the job.
  • Ensuring all travel arrangements meet customer expectations and company standards, processing payments, managing documentation including visas, travel insurance, and travel advisories, are all key responsibilities.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and following up for feedback and repeat business is essential in building long-term relationships with customers.
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction is a key performance indicator in this role.
  • Staying up-to-date with market trends, destination updates, and competitor offerings is vital in providing expert advice and recommendations to customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Tour Consultant, Travel Agent, or similar role is highly desirable.
  • A strong knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations, including cultures, customs, and regulations, is essential.
  • Familiarity with Global Distribution System (GDS) systems, such as Amadeus, Galileo, and Sabre, is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A customer-centric approach, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and travel management software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
