About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional cooking skills, excellent leadership abilities, and a strong passion for delivering high-quality culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare all basic food items for the menu requested by supervisors, ensuring timely delivery and meeting quality standards.
  • Possess advanced knife handling skills and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Work in any section of the kitchen, maintaining assigned areas in preparation for inspections.
  • Follow Public Health standards and company expectations, adhering to regulations and guidelines.
Financial Management:
  • Contribute to cost containment through proper use, handling, and maintenance of records, supplies, and equipment.
Motivational Factors:
  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities, focusing on individual performance and contribution.
Qualifications and Education:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship environment, with at least 2 years as a Line Cook.
  • Culinary school degree is required, with strong management skills in multicultural environments.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and people skills, with superior customer service, teambuilding, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of personalized service principles, including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and guest satisfaction evaluation techniques.
  • Strong planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills, with intermediate computer software skills.
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles, including numbering flow, Debits/Credits, adjusting entries, and corrections.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence, establishing good rapport with Senior Officers and the corporate office.
Internal Candidate Requirements:
  • Completion of at least one contract as Commis Cook with a performance rating of satisfactory or above, demonstrating leadership skills.
