Global Trade Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Global Trade Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and managing export documentation, including Export Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading Drafts, and other related documents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing pre- and post-documentation for export shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Generating Insurance Certificates through online portals and maintaining sufficient insured amounts.
  • Understanding and handling hazardous cargo, including knowledge of Hazard Classes, Packing Groups, and preparing Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGD).
  • Coordinating with factories, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customers to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Negotiating air or sea freight rates with forwarders, shipping lines, or CHAs.
  • Verifying and approving Shipping Bill Checklists, BL Drafts, AWB Drafts, etc.
  • Coordinating flight/vessel bookings with freight forwarders.
  • Arranging courier shipments through DHL/FedEx.
  • Familiarity with Letter of Credit (LC) Shipments.
  • Regular review and understanding of SCOMET and Narcotics requirements for every shipment.
  • Resolution of export customer queries promptly and efficiently.
  • Organizing transport for FCL shipments and factory stuffing.
  • Application for Preferential & Non-preferential COOs online.
  • Multitasking in handling multiple shipments efficiently.
  • Final shipment document sending to customers and tracking cargo till delivery to clients.
  • Maintenance of accurate records for all export shipments, including EGM and RODTEP benefit status.
  • Familiarity with RODTEP Scrip generation and DGFT/ICEGATE applications.
  • Packing arrangement considering shipment nature, especially for dangerous goods.
  • Compliance with import/export regulations, including HS codes, tariffs, and taxes.
  • Accurate record maintenance and reporting, including import data and compliance documents.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork ability.
