Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Design and develop electrical and instrumentation systems for vacuum pumps, compressor skids.

Key responsibilities include studying client specifications related to the electrical and instrumentation scope, preparing technical query lists, and resolving queries in discussions with clients and internal teams. The successful candidate will also be responsible for selecting gauges, transmitters, motors, junction boxes, control panels, cabling, cable trays, cable conduits, glands etc best suitable for the vacuum skids as per client requirements. Additionally, the engineer will support project design engineers for within-skid instrument and cabling layout preparation. This role requires creating documents such as instrument hook-up drawings, I/O lists, instrument indexes, cause-and-effect charts, junction box wiring diagrams, cable schedules, logic diagrams, etc. The successful candidate must resolve client comments and obtain client approval on EI-related documents. Moreover, they will conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improvements to electrical and instrumentation systems.

Requirements include a bachelor of engineering degree in instrumentation engineering from an accredited college or university, along with 5-10 years of experience working in an engineering department, preferably in oil and gas industries. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of instruments, gauges, transmitters, junction boxes, panels, cabling, PLCs, SCADA, etc. Familiarity with international standards like IEC, IEEE, NEMA, IS, ISO, EN, API, etc., is required. Proficiency in Auto-CAD is mandatory, while knowledge of E-Plan software is considered an added advantage. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills including communication, teamwork, and ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
