Accounting Specialist Role

We are seeking an accomplished Accounting Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting skills to make a real impact in the finance industry.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the broking industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily accounting entries including journal vouchers, payment/receipt entries, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain books of accounts as per accounting standards and company policies.
  • Reconcile client ledgers, broker accounts, bank statements, and depository records (NSDL/CDSL).
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements, P&L, and balance sheet.
  • Manage GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances relevant to the broking industry.
  • Support in audits (statutory, internal, and regulatory audits by SEBI/Exchanges).
  • Coordinate with operations and compliance teams for accounting-related queries.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for reporting and audit purposes.

Requirements:

  • CA intern /CA / Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a stock broking / financial services company).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory guidelines (SEBI, Exchanges), finalization of accounts GST filling etc.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP, or broker-specific back-office software).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic data analysis.
  • Attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
