  • Liaising closely with sales, buying, and production teams to ensure product suitability for customers, markets, and price points.
  • Developing patterns, samples, and mass production, including fitting, detailing, and adaptations.
  • Establishing best-in-class design and merchandising processes across denim product categories.
  • Maintaining technical skills in pattern cutting, grading, and garment construction.
  • Selecting fabrics, trims, styles, and accessories for development samples.
  • Considering technical guidelines from various departments for product feasibility in bulk production.
  • Creating designs by hand sketch or using computer-based software.
  • Collaborating with buyers and forecasters to develop products meeting briefs.
  • Staying updated on emerging fashion trends, competition, and general trends related to fabrics, colors, etc.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in designing menswear (casual or denim category).
  • Fashion graduate or postgraduate from NIFT.
