Job Title: Lead Visual Designer

We are seeking an exceptional Lead Visual Designer to spearhead the design of our fan-facing experiences. The ideal candidate will pair cutting-edge visual craft with innovative problem-solving to lead our design efforts.


The successful applicant will take ideas from concept to launch, setting high standards for visual quality and creating systems that keep our products consistent and scalable. This role is both hands-on and strategic, requiring a balance of creative vision and technical expertise.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end design process for major product initiatives across web, mobile, and new fan engagement platforms.
  • Define the visual direction for our products, ensuring every touchpoint feels fresh, consistent, and aligned with our brand.
  • Design and deliver polished, detail-driven user interfaces, balancing beauty and usability.
  • Build and maintain a scalable design system and component libraries to ensure visual and functional consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Editorial, and Growth teams to align design decisions with user needs and business goals.
  • Take initiative in setting high design standards and fostering good design practices within the company.
  • Use user insights, testing, and data to validate and refine design concepts.

Requirements:
  • Experience: 4+ years in digital product design, preferably in media, sports, or high-traffic consumer platforms.
  • Portfolio: A strong body of work showcasing top-tier visual design and thoughtful UX solutions.
  • Craft Skills: Mastery of Figma and relevant prototyping tools, with strong typography, composition, and interaction design skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect visual execution to user needs and business priorities.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working cross-functionally and presenting work to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership: Experience mentoring designers and advocating for design excellence within a team or company.
