Senior Automation Tester Job Description

We are seeking an experienced automation tester to join our team. As a senior automation tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Tosca.

You will collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand testing requirements, utilizing qTest as a test management tool to manage test cases, execution, and reporting.

Key responsibilities include executing automated and manual tests, analyzing test results, and reporting defects, as well as participating in test planning, estimations, and status reporting.

Additionally, you will ensure high-quality deliverables through effective test coverage and continuous improvement, maintain automation test suites, and troubleshoot any test failures.

As a senior team member, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective test execution, and mentor junior team members, contributing to best practices in testing and automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Tosca
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand testing requirements
  • Utilize qTest as a test management tool to manage test cases, execution, and reporting
  • Execute automated and manual tests, analyze test results, and report defects
  • Participate in test planning, estimations, and status reporting
  • Maintain automation test suites and troubleshoot any test failures
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective test execution

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience in automation testing
  • Strong hands-on experience with Tosca Automation Tool
  • Experience working with qTest or similar test management tools
  • Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, test lifecycle, and defect management
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems
  • ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications
