Job Title:

Database Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Database Specialist to optimize our database systems.

About the Job:

  • Design and develop complex relational databases using SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
  • Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers for optimized performance.
  • Develop ETL pipelines for data integration and transformation using tools like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Implement normalized and denormalized data models for transactional and analytical purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain databases with optimal performance, security, and integrity.
  2. Optimize database query execution plans for improved performance.
  3. Design and implement data warehousing solutions using star schema and snowflake designs.
  4. Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in database development and management.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
  • ETL tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter).
  • Data modeling concepts (normalized and denormalized data models).
  • Performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
  • Version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
