SEO-Focused Web Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled web developer to support live client projects across different CMS platforms. The role is a mix of front-end development, technical SEO implementation, and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in front-end development, with expertise in WordPress, Webflow, and Framer. They should also have proven experience with technical SEO implementation and structured data.

Solid understanding of Core Web Vitals, site performance, and responsive design is essential. Knowledge of analytics setup and website migrations is also required.

The successful candidate will be able to balance design, UX, and SEO requirements in development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Website Optimization & Performance:
  1. Improve website speed through image optimization, code minification, and caching.
  2. Implement and manage Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).
  3. Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Technical SEO Implementation:
  1. Develop and update location, service, and blog page templates with SEO in mind.
  2. Implement structured data (schema markup) for services, locations, blogs, FAQs, and reviews.
  3. Maintain clean site architecture & navigation for crawlability and UX.
  • CMS Development & Integrations:
  1. Build and customize pages in WordPress, Webflow, and Framer etc.
  2. Integrate interactive elements (Google Maps embeds, Google Reviews, local store locators).
  3. Manage third-party plugins/widgets such as review aggregators (Yelp, Trustpilot, Facebook, Foursquare).
  • Analytics & Reporting Support:
  1. Set up Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console tracking.
  2. Support with site audits and technical fixes from Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or other SEO tools.
  • Blog Development & Enhancements:
  1. Ensure blog templates are mobile-optimised and SEO-ready.
  2. Implement structured data for ratings, FAQs, and rich results.
  3. Optimise for engagement and conversions with SEO-driven best practices.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in front-end development (WordPress / Webflow / Framer experience is essential).
  • Proven experience with technical SEO implementation and structured data.
  • Solid understanding of Core Web Vitals, site performance, and responsive design.
  • Knowledge of analytics setup and website migrations.
  • Ability to balance design, UX, and SEO requirements in development.
